Temple Of Tease Is A PLACE OF RADICAL RECLAIMATION, Wild sensual EMBODIEMNT & Devoted sELF EXPANSION
Temple of Tease is an accumulation of a life work - I’m Rebekah—a multidisciplinary artist, choreographer, and sensual embodiment coach, devoted to exploring and celebrating the wild feminine and divine masculine. With 20 years of classical ballet and contemporary dance training, I now work at the intersection of movement, dance and somatic healing. I weave my movement training into my ongoing exploration of Jungian archetypes and shadow work into my teaching, helping people make space for their full selves and reclaim their bodies, creativity, and erotic self-expression.
My personal journey back to dance has been anything but linear. Leading into the 2020 pandemic, I experienced two miscarriages, my marriage was un-ravelling, I was grief stricken and exhausted. Motherhood, which I entered at 24 had brought joy, but also a deep sense of disconnection from myself, and a distraction for a resounding emptiness within.
The lockdown, as chaotic as it was, gave me space—with my partner home to help, no work, no distractions, just my body. Returning to daily movement was like breathing again. My body craved touch, curiosity, and play, and movement became a portal for healing, emotional release, and reconnection—not just to myself, but to my family.
From this deep exploration, burlesque became my fascination. Immersing myself in the artform began a transformed within me, and by 2022 I began teaching the craft, bringing a grounded, somatic perspective to the genre that was helpping others reignite their creative fire.
In 2023, my partner and I founded SULT Studio, an adult dance school where we combined our joint love and experience of dance, mobility, coordination, burlesque, and somatic embodiment to create a multi disciplinary studio for our community in Bellingen NSW. SULT offers a joyful, playful, and empowering place to reconnect to yourself - our students come to learn a skill and to improve their health both physically and mentally. Every day, we witness people shed shame, step into themselves, and connect with their bodies and to their community—it’s nothing short of magical.
But the burlesque sector was really taking off with strong momentum and so in 2025, I launched Temple of Tease, an offshoot of SULT, to create more focused spaces on the development of sensuality and artistry of Burlesque.
I am deeply passionate about burlesque. I see women shackled in shame, and exhausted by life and its often predatory nature. I witness men contained, afraid to move in their bodies, unable to witness or understand the mutable nature of errotism.
In see that to survive most of us become disconnected to our bodies and our desires are kept secret, our truth's dulled. Through the art of burlesque , I’ve witnessed the un ravelling of this - healing, peace, connection transforming in real time. Temple of Tease is a place where curiosity, courage, and self-expression meet liberation—and where the messy, playful, erotic, and powerful parts of us are not just accepted, but celebrated.
My burlesque persona, Rara Claret, grew naturally through this journey, she is my queen space and at 36, a mother of four, living rurally on a farm, Rara lets me weave together my sensual desire and creative fire with life’s chaos. Through Rara, my workshops, and mentorships, I blend classical dance technique with somatics and philosophy—mixing the sacred with the silly, the polished with the provocative—and that create storytelling burlesque shows that relate, liberate, delight, and empowers.
